Kelly Hoffman practices law exclusively in the areas of employment law and employment litigation. After receiving her A.B. from Harvard University, Ms. Hoffman earned her PhD in Sociology at Princeton University and her juris doctorate degree from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, Ms. Hoffman served on the executive committee of HLS TaxHelp and volunteered with the Consumer Protection and Predatory Lending unit at the Harvard Legal Services Center, providing free legal assistance to poor and elderly residents of Cambridge and Boston.
After graduation, Ms. Hoffman worked as an associate at the New York law firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP and the Boston law firm of Donnelly, Conroy & Gelhaar LLP. She is a member of the Massachusetts and New York bars.
Ms. Hoffman regularly counsels clients in all aspects of employment law. She advises clients on issues such as discipline, investigations, leaves of absence, and accommodations. She drafts handbooks, policies, employment contracts, confidentiality and non-competition agreements, and separation agreements, among other employment documents.
Ms. Hoffman is also a successful litigator, representing clients before state and federal courts in Massachusetts and New York. In addition, Ms. Hoffman has appeared before a number of different administrative agencies, including the Civil Service Commission, the Occupational Health and Safety Commission, and unemployment commissions in multiple jurisdictions. She has also successfully represented clients before arbitrators and in mediations.
